Acton Central Councillors' Surgeries
Cllr. Kumar has informed WARA that a health and safety inspection has been carried out at the pavilion in North Acton Playing Fields.
Following this inspection it was decided to close the area used by the Councillors for their monthly surgeries, due to the discovery of dry rot. The dry rot has especially affected the toilet adjacent to this area and the floor is now liable to collapse.
The building will be inspected shortly by the Council’s building surveyor, and works will commence as quickly as possible to rectify the problem. However, it is likely that this area of the building will be out of use for several months, depending on the extent of the problem.
At present, it is not known where the alternative location for the surgeries will be.
